Thrifty Thursday #4

Welcome back to Thrifty Thursday!  I know, I know....it felt like forever having to get through last week without a Thrifty Thursday or Friday update to meet you at the end.

Good news bloggies, it's BACK!

This week I am going to share with you something that I had been wanting to make for a while, I just had no use for it.  Then, some friends were getting married and I knew it would be perfect for this sweet, quirky couple.

What you need:

Plain glass tumblers (you can find these anywhere, they even sell them at the Dollar Tree)
Enamel Paint (like I used on the dessert stand)
Rubbing Alcohol
Cotton Ball
Paintbrushes

What to do:

Clean the glasses with the alcohol before painting.

Paint whatever design you like on the glasses...I chose a specific one that I had seen on Tatertots and Jello.

I did a mustache on one glass and a pair of red lips on the other.  I mean come on, what cuter interpretation of 'Mr. and Mrs' can you get?!

I free-handed the two designs, but they were SO simple, honestly anyone could do this.  I found some images online that I liked and mimicked them on the glasses.

Let them dry for an hour or two.

Set the two classes in the oven, close the door and heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Once the oven reaches 350, open the door to the oven and allow the glasses to cool off.

Remove the glasses from the oven and show off your adorable glasses to EVERYONE!

Here is my finished product:

Sorry for all the stuff in the background...I kind of did these the night before the wedding (it was the weekend that my husband left for Texas...hectic week!).

I absolutely LOVE these little glasses, I am even thinking about making a set for my husband and I!
