Quite honestly, I don't enjoy frozen pizzas but this one...it's no ordinary frozen pizza! Freschetta offers eight different flavors and each one sounds even better than the last. Take a look at all the flavors on the FRESCHETTA® Simply…Inspired™ site. I chose to try the classic bruschetta flavor. It has tomatoes and roasted garlic, provolone, parmesan, asiago and mozarella cheese blend, creamy tomato and garlic pesto sauce, and basil, on a thin crispy crust. Come on, doesn't that just sound delicious? It sounds like something you could order at a great little pizza joint rather than something you could pull out of the freezer and pop in the oven!
I could immediately tell the difference in the FRESCHETTA® Simply…Inspired™ pizzas from the packaging. The packaging wasn't that terrible, huge cardboard box that is so awkward and flimsy. It was brightly colored and so fresh looking. The FRESCH-TASTE SEAL packaging definitely played a part in locking in the flavors and freshness of the ingredients while using 30% less packaging material. With all of the fresh and flavorful ingredients, it was hard to believe I was eating a frozen pizza! Normally, I would order a thick crust on my pizza. These pizzas have a thin, crispy crust and I like it! It was just enough to keep it 'fresh and light' without be dry and tasting like cardboard!
