leavin' on a jet plane

All righty bloggies...if you've ready ANY of my posts in the past eight and a half weeks I am sure that you know about my husband.  He is in Basic Military Training (BMT) for the Air Force and guess what?  I am leaving on a jet plane this afternoon (though, I know exactly when I'll be back again) headed for San Antonio.  We will arrive tonight and then wake at the (butt) crack of dawn tomorrow to go see my sweet, sweet love!

I just wanted to share a little bit of the process with you...

Yes, that would be a suitcase within a suitcase!  My husband asked me to bring him some of his clothes for when he goes to Tech School.  He will be leaving from BMT in Texas and headed to Tech School for four months in California.  The suitcase weighs almost 45 pounds once I finished packing!  I however, will NOT be coming home with all of that...just my things.

As you might remember, my birthday was last Thursday.  I informed my husband that he bought me a pair of TOMS for my birthday!  I wouldn't tell him which style though...(evil laugh) he can't stand surprises and I LOVE that I can keep so many secret!  I'll tell you, though!  I got the University Red Rope Sole Classics and I love, love, freaking love them!  With all the crafitness running though my veins do you think I just left them as they came?  NO!  I sewed on some blue stars...to add some America love!

I thought I loved them when they came in the mail.  I am SO in love with them now!  I'm sorry but you can't look at those and not love them...or maybe you can.

I promised Matt that I wouldn't be one of those crazy wives with t-shirts made up and ribbons all over me and HUGE signs and all that.  We're just simpler people.  Don't get me wrong, I love that those women do that for their Airmen...it's just not our style.  Though, I couldn't resist one little teeny weeny last touch of America...I got my nails painted!

I know Matt won't notice until I flash my hands and toes and say "Honey, look at my nails!"  and quite honestly after eight and a half weeks apart, my nails are probably the last thing he's worried about!  Though, I'll know just how stinkin' cute they are!

Well my sweet bloggies, I'm off...jet setting to the great state of Texas.  I'll be home late Sunday night (with no hubby...but TONS of pictures to share, I'm sure)  so all of the post this weekend are pre-set.  I didn't want y'all to go without while I'm off having the time of my life!
